I've used a few different time tracking apps. Most are heavy-handed and leave me with even more work just to maintain my time properly. So far, I love this app. Set it and forget it, which is exactly what time trackers should do. Try it out!

Frequently asked questions

Have another question? Contact us on Twitter or by email.

Can I set a timer for less than 1min?
Yes. By holding the Option (⌥) key while dragging the icon, you can set the timer between 1s and 60s.
Can I set a timer for longer than 1h30min?
Yes. By holding the Shift (⇧) key while dragging the icon, you can set the timer for up to 12 hours. For now, there's no settings to set your own range. But, you can do it manually.
Can I give the timer a name?
At the moment, no, and it's intentional. I designed this app to be a quick timer you set before a workout session, a deep focus session, or when boiling your eggs 🥚. Asking the user (even as an option) to enter a name would make the flow more clunky. The Reminders app on Mac does that pretty well. That being said I might create a reminder version of Stretch It.
Can I add multiple timers? And add labels for each?
This use case for the Reminders app on macOS. I'm not opposed to create a reminder version of Stretch It with those features. I don't have it planned for now so it might take a few months or a year before it launches.
I don't see any notification when the timer goes off. Why?
First, go to Settings / Notifications and make sure Show a notification is enabled under Timer is Up. Then open your macOS Control Center (Fn + C) and make sure Focus mode (Do Not Disturb) is not enabled.
